On Friday, Dec. 18, the Colorado State University Police Department received information regarding a threat that a bomb would go off near the construction site of the Research Innovation Building at the university’s Foothills Campus.  An extensive investigation by law enforcement and the regional bomb squad revealed that there was not a bomb. Due to the threat, a significant amount of local law enforcement time and resources were spent to determine that the area was safe and many hours of labor at two university research facilities that were evacuated during the investigation were lost.

Colorado State University Police Department, in conjunction with Crime Stoppers, is working diligently to apprehend the person or people responsible for the threatening message. If you have information that leads to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the message, please notify Crime Stoppers. Any information regarding the message may help identify the individual or individuals responsible for this incident and may result in a cash reward from Crime Stoppers.
