MAN FOUND DECEASED ALONG THE POUDRE RIVER TRAIL

 

On 110908 at approximately 11:33pm, Fort Collins Emergency Dispatch Services received a telephone call from a citizen walking along the Poudre River Trail System, at marker PE6 (E. Mulberry Ave/N. Lemay), that he saw an unresponsive male laying on the bank of the Poudre River, Fort Collins, Colorado.

 

When officers arrived on scene, they found a transient male, approximately 40 years of age, lying on the bank motionless.  The male was confirmed deceased by Poudre Valley Hospital Paramedics. The identity of the male is currently unknown. No signs of foul play were apparent at the scene.

 

The identity of the male and the cause of death will be determined and released by the Larimer County Coroners office.

 

The unattended death case is currently under investigation.
