Fort Collins police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Saturday evening at approximately 10:40 p.m. July 10, 2010
According to reports, the suspect drove a 2000 or newer dark colored 4-door Sports Utility Vehicle (model unknown) through the Coachlight Apartment Complex (1550 Blue Spruce Drive) and turned southbound on Blue Spruce Drive towards Conifer Street when witnesses heard several gun shots fired from the vehicle. The vehicle was believed to be occupied by at least 2 people. It is unknown whether the driver or passenger fired the gun. Police recovered several shell casing from a handgun on Blue Spruce Drive.
No specific person was targeted and no one was injured.
The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Conifer Street. The male driver was described as having a light complexion with dark short hair.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and police are working to identify suspects.
