Fort Collins police say a man entered a west Fort Collins home and tied up a 58-year-old woman in a closet before leaving.
The man, described as a white male between 30 and 60, entered the home in the 1000 block of Rolland Moore Drive and approached the woman as she prepared to take a bath. He approached her from the back and demanded money, but she said she didn’t have any, according to a Fort Collins police press release.
He tied her hands, put a cloth in her mouth and forced her into a closet before leaving the home.
The woman freed herself after 1 to 1½ hours in the closet and called police. She was not injured and said she did not see a weapon during the alleged burglary, according to police.
The woman told police nothing was taken from the home, according to police spokeswoman Rita Davis.
The woman said the man was wearing a dark baseball hat, a blue and white bandana over his face, and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact Sgt. Jim Hawkins at 221-6555 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 221-6868.
