Fort Collins Police Investigate Report of Home Invasion Robbery

Fort Collins police are investigating a report of a home invasion robbery that occurred this morning at 5:07 a.m. in the 2000 of Bennington Circle. The victim reported the suspects entered the residence and that shots were fired. Three suspects fled the area in a vehicle later determined to have been stolen overnight from Loveland, CO. There were no known injuries.

Approximately 15 minutes later, police received several calls from residents of the Indian Hills neighborhood who reported seeing unknown persons running towards Drake and Lemay Avenue. Police conducted a search this morning of the area surrounding Eastborough Drive and Oxford Lane in an attempt to locate the suspects. At 6:41 a.m., police sent emergency notification calls to 29 homes within 1000 feet of the 2900 block of Eastborough Drive stating that police were searching the area and to please stay inside and away from windows and doors. Another message was sent at approximately 8:30 a.m. informing residents that the search was completed and that normal activity could resume. The suspects have not been located.

The victims have limited details about the suspects and any physical descriptions. The stolen vehicle, a light blue Jeep Cherokee, believed to have been used in this incident was recovered in the 1900 block of Seminole Drive. The motive for the reported home invasion robbery is under investigation.
