Key Bank Robbed at Drake and College Ave., Fort Collins SOLVED!

On Thursday, November 13, 2008 at approximately 1:25 p.m., Fort Collins Police Services Investigators conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Taft Hill Rd and W. Elizabeth St in Fort Collins, Colorado that resulted in the arrest of Mr. Jeremy James Padia (dob 062079) of Loveland, Colorado.

 

Tips provided by citizens that viewed surveillance images collected from the Key Bank shortly after the robbery and area surveillance by Fort Collins Police Services Investigators of areas frequented by Mr. Padia, resulted in the traffic stop on Mr. Padia. Mr. Padia was taken into custody without incident.

 

October 27, 2008

Key Bank Robbed

On Monday, October 27, 2008 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Fort Collins police responded to the report of a bank robbery at Key Bank,100 E.
Drake Road.

The suspect entered the bank through the front door, approached a bank teller, and demanded money.  Although the suspect stated he had a gun, no weapon was shown and no one was injured.  The suspect exited the bank through the front door and was last seen leaving the area towards the adjacent neighborhood on foot.

The suspect is described as a short Hispanic male with long dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a black and white plaid cloth ¾ length coat and eyeglasses.

As a precautionary measure, O’Dea Elementary School, 312 Princeton Road, was placed on lock down at 2:17 p.m. while police look for the suspect in the area.  No further information is available at this time.

The case is currently under investigation.
