Subject: Aggravated Robbery and Assault

Shortly after midnight early Sunday morning, September 28, 2008, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Sandy’s Convenience Story at 1500 East Mulberry on a report of possible car-jacking incident.

A 54-year-old male of Morrison, Colorado, was attempting to get gas when a white male wearing a charcoal grey hoodie and tan pants approached him demanding his keys and wallet. When victim did not readily produce those items, suspect brandished a handgun. Victim ran to the store in an attempt to get inside but the doors to the business were locked and
the business was closed. The suspect then struck the victim on the
back of the head two times with the gun causing a laceration. The suspect then told the victim to hand over the keys or he would be shot.
The victim handed over the keys and the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle in a northbound direction on Link Lane.

The vehicle is a 2007 Suzuki Grant Vitara, grey in color, bearing Colorado license plate 744RYW. The vehicle was in good condition when it left the area. A “COLORADO NATIVE” sticker may be on the back of the vehicle.

The victim was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital where he was treated and released early this morning.

Suspect is described as a white male with light growth around his upper lip and chin. He was wearing a charcoal grey hoodie with the hood up, tan pants. He was not wearing glasses. He displayed a grey handgun, unknown make or caliber. He had no visible tattoos or piercings. At this time, no video of the incident is available.
