On Monday, February 6, 2006 at approximately 9:32 a.m., Fort Collins police responded to the report of a bank robbery at U S Bank, 301 E. Horsetooth Road.

The suspect entered the bank through the front door, approached a bank teller, brandished a handgun and demanded money. No one was injured. The suspect exited the bank through the front door and was last seen driving northbound on JFK Parkway with an undisclosed amount of money.

A bank employee provided police with a license plate number. Police located and recovered the vehicle at approximately 10:08 a.m. in the Willow Grove Village apartment parking lot at 3436 S. Shields Street. It was determined the vehicle had been stolen from the 1000 block of West Horsetooth Road sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years-of-age, 5’2″ to 5’7″, with a slight build. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored (blue and yellow) jersey, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, dark glasses, and a dark baseball cap. The suspect had a dark-colored bandana covering his face.

Fort Collins police are working with the FBI on the robbery. No further information is available at this time.
