On Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at approximately 1:26 p.m., Fort Collins police responded to the report of a bank robbery at Academy Bank inside the Wal-Mart Store at 1250 E. Magnolia Street in Fort Collins.
An unidentified suspect entered the bank, approached a bank teller, and demanded money. The suspect stated he had a gun, yet no weapon was seen.
The suspect exited the bank through the west door without any cash. It is unknown which direction the suspect fled from the area.
The suspect is described as a white male thirty-five to forty-five years of age, approximately 5’8 in height, and 150 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue fleece jacket, black stocking hat, and sunglasses. No surveillance photograph is available at this time.
No one was injured during the robbery.
A man was contacted by police walking along the frontage road near the intersection of E. Mulberry Road and Greenfields Court shortly after the robbery yet was released after determining he was not involved in the bank robbery.
