NEW INFORMATION EMERGES IN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION 

Windsor, CO – New information now reveals the fatal shooting of John Jacoby and Cori Romero are linked. John Jacoby was fatally shot on County Road 15 south of County Road 72 at approximately 10:00 am, May 18 where it appears he was traveling northbound on his bicycle. Cori Romero was shot while driving from East Harmony Road onto the on-ramp to southbound I-25 around 11:15 p.m. on April 22.

A formal task force has been established including the Windsor Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, both Weld County District Attorney’s Office and Larimer County District Attorney’s Office and additional resources as needed.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution.

The Town of Windsor Police Department is asking residents to remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings. Please report any suspicious activity to the Town of Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400.
