Larimer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hold-up alarm tonight (3/13/16) at 8:20 p.m. at 425 Meadowlark Drive in Berthoud.

The alarm was triggered at Hometown Liquor, where an armed robbery was occurring. A single male wielding a handgun demanded money from the staff.

The suspect is described as dark skinned and being approximately 5’10” tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and had his face obscured with a cloth. The suspect left the store on foot before deputies arrived. 

A heavy police presence was involved in the search. K9 searches were conducted but did not locate the suspect. A local church was put on lockdown while deputies secured the area. There were no injuries reported during this incident. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this crime, no additional details are available at this time.
