Subject: Public’s Help Sought to Find Felony Suspects

Date: 3/20/2012

Two suspects who led several law enforcement agencies on a chase throughout Northern Colorado yesterday, and believed to be involved in the area mail and identity thefts, are being sought on felony warrants by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspects.

The pursuit originated at Westgate Drive and Highway 392 yesterday morning after a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted Donald Rheubottom and Jessica Hornback driving away from the area and was discontinued a short time later due to public safety concerns. The pursuit was started and stopped several times by different agencies throughout Northern Colorado. Pursuits are stopped as soon as public safety is threatened.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Donald Fredrick Rheubottom, DOB: 031872, of Berthoud, who is wanted for two felony warrants, one for a parole violation and one for six counts of identity theft, a class four felony. The court has set a $100,000 bond for the identity theft warrant.

Jessica Lee Hornback, DOB: 052778, of Fort Collins, is wanted for 13 counts of identity theft, a class four felony. Her bond has also been set at $100,000 by the court.

Rheubottom and Hornback were last seen in a 1987 red three-door Acura with black wheels bearing Colorado license plate 167XEB.

Also being sought is Jesse Dale Malouff, DOB: 052878, of Littleton, wanted for Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, also a class four felony. Malouff was not involved in the pursuit yesterday but is a known associate of Rheubottom. His bond is set at $2,500.

Felony eluding charges are also being prepared against Rheubottom.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of these individuals is asked to call the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 where you will remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.

The charge(s) are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
