On February 1, 2015 at approximately 11:00 am the Loveland Emergency Communications Center received a call requesting a welfare check at a home in the 3600 block of Butternut Drive. When Loveland police officers arrived, they found a deceased person in the home.

Loveland police detectives are looking in to the circumstances surrounding the death. This case is still under investigation. More information will be released when it becomes available and is appropriate for public dissemination.

February 2, 2015 Update:
When the responding officers arrived for the welfare check, they found a woman who was later identified as Angela Howard, a thirty-six year-old Loveland woman, who had suffered multiple apparent gunshot wounds. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office conducted the autopsy late this morning.

Loveland police detectives are continuing to investigate Ms. Howard’s death. The investigation has led investigators to believe that there is no related general threat to the community.
