Fort Collins Police Services is investigating two additional incidents which may be related to the series of physical assaults perpetrated against women in Fort Collins and unincorporated Larimer County in the past several months.

On October 24, 2014 at approximately 10:30pm, Fort Collins Police responded to the 3000 block of West Elizabeth Street in Fort Collins to the report of a female victim who had been jogging in the area and was physically assaulted by a single male suspect.

On October 24, 2014 at approximately 10:50pm, Fort Collins Police responded to the area of City Park Avenue and Baystone Drive in Fort Collins to the report of a female victim who was walking in the area and was physically assaulted by a single male suspect.

In both of the incidents, the female victim was outside and alone when they were approached and subsequently assaulted. Neither victim sustained serious injuries.

The suspect description in these incidents is consistent with the previous assaults against women in our community.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years of age, approximately 5’7″ to 6’00” tall, medium to slightly heavy build, with short to shaved hair.  The suspect may be driving an older model four door sport utility vehicle that is white in color.
Previous incidents related to this series have occurred approximately between Shields Street and Taft Hill Road and West Prospect and West Drake Roads.  The most recent assaults are outside of the previous area where this series of crimes had occurred.
Fort Collins Police are encouraging citizens to exercise additional caution especially for female residents who are out in the community after dark.  Please consider traveling in groups, carrying a cell phone, remaining in well-traveled areas, and carrying a flashlight.
Anyone who has contact or witnesses this male come in contact with someone else is asked to call 911 for immediate assistance.  Anyone with any knowledge of these incidents or who may have information regarding a suspect is encouraged to call Detective Mike Knudsen at (970) 221-6558 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.  Crime Stoppers may also be reached through their web site at www.stopcriminals.org.
